New York -- The Kindle Fire color tablet was announced today with a price point of $199, making it a strong competitor to the iPad.
The
7 inch 14.6 ounce 1GHz dual-core tablet will run Android 2.1 with an
Amazon taylored overlay, and will include access to the Amazon app
store, streaming TV/movies on its 1024x600 display, and connects over
WiFi.
Deliveries are expected to begin on November 15.

anti-reflective treatment, 1024 x 600 pixel resolution at 169 ppi, 16
million colors.

System Requirements None, because it's wireless and doesn't require a computer.
