Cupertino, CA -- The iPhone 4S uses the
same apple designed A5 chip as the iPad2 and supports dual-core graphics
with display updates up to 7x faster than the previous iPhone along
with battery life, data speed, and antenna improvements. The 8
megapixel (3264x2448) camera includes a five element f2.4 lens and
shoots fast pics with only 0.5 seconds between shots, while video
capture supports full 1080p with real-time video stabilization.
An
intelligent voice agent called "Siri" will respond to your voice
commands with support for voice queries to Wikipedia and Wolfram Alpha.
The iPhone 4S is billed as a "world phone" in that it supports dual
mode, GSM and CDMA.
The order books open on October 7 with
deliveries starting on October 14. US carriers AT&T, Verizon, and
Sprint will carry the product. First to be available in US, Canada,
Australia, UK, France, Germany, and Japan, and then by October 28,
availability should be extended to 22 additional countries.
